The Rawvolution Continues Recipe: Superfood Soup

Find ingredients such as coconut aminos, flax oil, or Dr. Schulze SuperFood Plus Powder at your local health food store, or online. MAKES 1 OR 2 SERVINGS

This is the most popular dish at our café. It features Dr. Schulze’s SuperFood Plus Powder, nori, avocado, cucumber, cilantro, and turmeric. It was originally an improvised creation from a staff member. Over the years it has been adapted and now has become a communal creation that the whole ELR community enjoys.

FOR THE SOUP

1½ cups coconut water
1½ cups cucumber juice (requires 1 to 2 large cucumbers)
¼ cup watercress juice
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons flax oil
2 tablespoons Dr. Schulze’s SuperFood Plus powder
1½ tablespoons olive oil
1½ tablespoons coconut aminos ½-inch piece peeled fresh ginger 2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 teaspoon curry powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
Pinch of cayenne
Pinch of turmeric

FOR THE GARNISHES

Cucumber, peeled and chopped
Cilantro, stemmed
Avocado, cubed
Nori, torn into strips

To make the soup, in a high speed blender, combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth.

Add the garnishes in the quantities that you prefer and serve.

Bernard Jensen was an American Doctor of Chiropractic who was versed in a wide variety of holistic health care disciplines. Dr. Jensen operated health sanitariums in California for over 40 years and, in his 93 years of life, wrote and published over 40 books. He once wrote: “As I see it, fresh, raw, natural foods are more compatible to our bodies than anything else.”
